Fashion Design

As a fashion designer for MLB the user experience is the fit, the tactile experience of how the textile feels on your skin, the cut & sew that offers the range of movements… the look and feel consumers wanted to convey as their identity and how it aligns with each team and the brand’s creative direction. I often ask myself how do I innovate, incorporate current trends, and satisfy consumer tastes at the same time align with each teams identity?

In the fashion and home fashion industry, I had the privilege to work as a fashion designer, graphic apparel designer, print & pattern designer as well and graphic manager.

Giving presentation of the entire MLB line to over a hundred sales people from all over the states was no small feat.

Can’t miss the parties!

My kids grew up surrounded by consumer products I’ve designed.

One's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions.
– Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr.

This is a side story… I believe in the value of a stretched mind. With every experience, I gain something that takes me onto another dimension. After the experience of giving line presentation at the annual MLB sales conference, I realized how much I needed to polish on my public speaking skills.
At the time my plate was full- balancing my roles as head MLB designer and new mom. Sometime later, I joined Toastmasters to strengthen my public speaking skills. I held leadership roles and competed in speech contests- and WON! (Second Place at Division B District 46 International Speech Contest.) When I can, I will always choose to level up my skill sets.
